With the acid drained from the caves, I venture back down the Heights of Oscillation and discover the Perished Court.
Act IV: The Draining. Now that the windmill pump has been activated, I’m ready to head back into the cave. But the weather is not cooperating and I decide it’s best to stay put for awhile. I “hang out” with the beast in the mill while I await clearer skies. Those clearer skies provide visibility at a glowing green pyramid that can be seen hovering in the distance.
Heading down the cliff, Octavious Sken records a log to the Wilson device while I take in the sights. I”m able to see the blades of the windmill turning, the pumps of acid draining into the ocean. While battling a mild case of heat stroke, I encounter a meteor shower. That’s a nice distraction. The mountain at sunset is beautiful. I think the three flying orbs that momentarily join me would agree.
Back inside the caves, the new forward vector is to inspect the building now that the acid is gone. It’s quite the sight climbing on the acid-stained rocks giving off a yellowish-green glow. The Relic of Life is hidden somewhere here. I discover a new location known as Perished Court. It looks to be a place where a special urchin recipe was brewed. I happily collect the Relic of Night here.
Not quite ready to leave, I locate a new secret cave. Though the warning reminds me that they are meant for experienced explorers, I must take my chances to discover more secrets.
