The smoke monster returns as I enter a labyrinth of a cave system in search for a key.
After finding a locked door at the top of a staircase, I’m forced to venture into the caves in order to find its key. Of course, the cave isn’t unguarded. It’s one thing to run from the smoke monster through the halls of a building. But while in a dark cave with no direction, this gets amped up to a whole new level. If that wasn’t enough, I must keep an eye on my food and water levels while also tending to case of hypothermia after a brief swim in a lake.
But if you thought the smoke monster was deadly, the path to the key is rigged with traps. I enter the Passageway of the Drowned VI. With my flashlight battery low, I opt to use the torch as much as possible. Who knows when I’ll see the sun next in order to recharge it. This means I must play a game of cat and mouse with the smoke monster and only pull out the torch when necessary.
